Joëlle Morin
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Joëlle is only 2 years old when she first appears on television in Campbell's Soup commercials alongside her mother, actress Margot Campbell. She gets the acting bug while performing in high school plays and later learns the art of characterization at Brébeuf College. After majoring in Communications, she steps into Montreal's Dramatic Arts Conservatory and begins to work as a model and actor. Important parts soon follow and by her mid-twenties, her stunning performance as superstar singer Lady Alys Robi earns her the Artis Award for best actress in a television series as well as a Gémeaux Award nomination.
Joëlle Morin is one of Quebec’s most beloved actresses and has been a part of the art scene for over thirty years. She also spends time writing, developing television and film projects and campaigning for the environment, gender equality, and animal welfare.
BIO
Née à Montréal, Joëlle Morin débute devant la caméra dès l’âge de 2 ans lorsqu’elle participe aux messages publicitaires de la Soupe Campbell, produit pour lequel sa mère, l’actrice Margot Campbell est porte-parole.
C’est au collège Jean-de-Brébeuf qu’elle suit ses premiers cours d'interprétation avec Denise Guilbault.
Parallèlement à ses études collégiales, Joëlle commence à travailler comme mannequin et actrice et une fois diplômée du profil Lettres et Communications, elle fait son entrée au Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal.
Elle incarne par la suite plusieurs personnages percutants à la télévision dont Roxanne Blondeau, l'adolescente rebelle du téléroman Montréal, P.Q. et Alexandra Dumoulin, dans la série Scoop. Quelques années plus tard, Joëlle reçoit le trophée Artis de la meilleure actrice pour sa brillante interprétation d'Alys Robi, rôle qui lui vaut également une nomination aux prix Gémeaux.
Joëlle Morin œuvre dans le domaine artistique depuis plus de trente ans. Elle milite également pour les diverses causes qui lui tiennent à coeur, soit l'environnement, l'égalité, la défense des animaux et la conservation des espèces menacées.
